Dutch as a Foreign Language Educator
2008 - 2017
As a Foreign Language Educator in Amsterdam, I taught Dutch to a range of people: expats from all over the globe, residents of other European countries, and students with a temporary residence permit - with English as the common language spoken by most of the students.
This required an in-depth knowledge of the Dutch language and its grammatical structure and a thorough understanding of the cultural subtleties.
I supported them in reaching their goals which included learning Dutch, navigating Dutch society and its administrative system, gaining confidence in social interactions, and preparing for Dutch citizenship.
